Tantalise your taste buds with the excellent local produce on offer in farm shops, farmers markets, restaurants and Devon food trails all near by Hawkchurch Country Park. Only moments away is the small Devon market town of Axminster which dates back to the Celtic times of 300 BC. Close to Hawkchurch is the picturesque town of Lyme Regis. This historic and unspoilt seaside resort has a fishing port on the well known Cobb  Harbour. Lyme Regis is on the East Devon section of the Jurassic Coast which is England’s first natural World Heritage Site. This truly stunning coastline covers 95 miles.
Other local attractions include Forde Abbey, an elegant former Cistercian monastery and its 30 acres of award winning gardens and one of East Devon’s premier tourist attractions, the Seaton open-top Tramway, with a delightful six mile journey along the stunning River Axe estuary and wildlife and through local picturesque country villages.
